Thank you for visiting my website! Carlson Floor Service was started by my father, Bert Carlson in the 1950's. After World War II, my father came back to Chicago and worked doing hardwood floors for a company located there in Chicago.

Not wanting to raise his family in the city, my father moved his family to Sawyer, Michigan in 1957, starting his own hardwood floor business, Carlson Floor Service

Coming from a large family (six brothers and one sister), he learned strong values and work ethic. Those same values have been passed on to his kids and grandkids.

We offer anything in wood floors; design options, installation, patching, sanding and finishing.
